New Firmware V681 for Explore & Vision+ Series
Shenzhen, China – September 30, 2025 – Telycam has released its latest firmware update for September 2025, bringing a range of powerful new features to PTZ cameras. With this update, workflows become smarter, more efficient, and more flexible—perfect for broadcasters, enterprises, education, houses of worship, and more.
NDI Bridge Integration
The camera’s WebUI now includes built-in NDI Bridge, removing the need for additional software or NDI Tools. With this feature, Telycam PTZ cameras can instantly act as an NDI Bridge Join endpoint, making remote contribution seamless. Producers can easily bring in camera feeds from different locations over the internet, control them remotely, and integrate them into their live workflow. This is ideal for remote production, satellite events, and hybrid workflows.
NDI 6.2 Discovery Integration
The firmware introduces support for the NDI 6.2 Discovery Server, delivering a cleaner and more scalable way to manage devices in large networks. Instead of relying on mDNS traffic, cameras can now register directly with a central Discovery Server. This makes NDI source management faster, more reliable, and significantly easier to scale—an essential upgrade for system integrators, IT managers, and multi-camera setups in studios, campuses, or enterprise networks.
FreeD over NDI
One of the headline features in this release is FreeD over NDI. With a single Ethernet cable, Telycam PTZ cameras can now transmit video, power, control, and FreeD metadata together—eliminating the need for capture cards or expensive SDI cabling. This unlocks lightweight and cost-effective VR/AR/XR production, with direct compatibility with VIZRT Virtual Studio Go. Telycam is the only third-party brand supporting FreeD over NDI with VIZRT Virtual Studio Go, enabling professional-level virtual production for enterprises, schools, houses of worship, and government institutions.
At this stage, lens calibration for VIZRT Virtual Studio Go is supported only on the Vision+ 4KN 30X (effective September 30, 2025), with support for additional models coming later.
Enhanced White Balance with Green Gain
Accurate color reproduction is critical in professional video. The update adds a green gain adjustment option to manual white balance, offering precise control alongside red and blue. This ensures natural skin tones and consistent color matching across cameras, even in mixed lighting environments such as stage, LED, or fluorescent setups.
Side-Mount Support
The update also introduces side-mount support in the WebUI. This feature provides a one-click image rotation switch, making installation more versatile and ensuring proper image orientation, even when cameras are mounted sideways.
Web Screenshot Feature
For fast reference images during live streaming, the new web screenshot function lets users generate stills directly from a camera’s IP URL without interrupting the broadcast stream:
This tool is simple, production-friendly, and ensures stream stability while providing instant snapshots for broadcast or content creation.
